Something terrible has happened to two young brothers. The details, however, are unknown. The eldest, not yet out of his teens, struggles with the effects of a presumably violent incident; the cuts and bruises he bears are the least painful of his wounds. Although his younger brother begs him to speak to their father, he cannot fi nd the words. Christelle Al-Kayssar nació en El Líbano en 1994. Recientemente se licenció en Cine y Televisión de la Universidad de Bellas Artes Furn El Chebbak. Durante sus estudios realizó los cortometrajes I Can Hear You y Drops, al igual que su película de graduación, I Don’t Even Like Her.
Christelle Al-Kayssar was born in Lebanon in 1994. She has recently graduated from the Lebanese University of Fine Arts – Furn El Chebbak with a BA in Cinema and Television. During her studies she completed the short films I Can Hear You and Drops, as well as her graduation film, I Don’t Even Like Her.

Hero and The Message is the story of Mohammad and Lulua, two siblings who travel in time with the help of an ultra high-tech train and get involved in key events of Qatari history. The movie premiered during the 2012 Qatar National Day, on December 18th.
Pawel Borowski, nacido en Varsovia, estudió pintura y animación en la academia de arte de Varsovia. Desde su graduación en 1997, ha trabajado en publicidad como director creativo y desde su rol ha realizado más de 30 avisos publicitarios y campañas.
Born in Warsaw, Pawel Borowski was educated in painting and film animation at the Academy of Arts there. Since his graduation in 1997, he has worked in advertising as a creative director, making more than 30 television commercials and promos.

Raised in Al-Wakrah, Qatar, Amal Al-Muftah is a senior at Qatar Academy, where she studies film. She made the documentary Split Second for the NU-Q THIMUN Film Festival, where it won the Best National Award and the People's Choice Award.
SAHARA
La noche cae sobre el Sahara. Una figura solitaria, con un arma amarrada a la espalda, monta un oryx y se echa a andar. Con esta pesada carga en su espalda continúa a pie, determinada a liberar a su tierra de estas herramientas de guerra. Un llamado a la paz conmovedor, Sahara es un poderoso cortometraje acerca del persistente impacto de los conflictos armados.
Night has fallen over the Sahara. A lone figure, a gun strapped to her back, jumps on an oryx and rides off. When a violent sandstorm suddenly hits, she takes shelter in an abandoned army tank and gathers up the discarded rifles she finds there. With this heavy load on her back, she continues on foot, determined to rid her land of these tools of war. An evocative call for peace, Sahara is a powerful film about the lingering impact of conflict.

PICK UP | A LA SALIDA
Para su gran vergüenza, una niña es recogida de la escuela por su padre en su pick-up polvorienta. Sin darle importancia a la reacción de su hija, el hombre decide desviarse del camino a casa para ir a un nuevo destino: ir de pesca al Golfo Arábigo. A pesar de que en un principio ella no parece estar de acuerdo con el plan, este cambio de rumbo la ayudará a tener un nuevo y más profundo conocimiento de su padre. Sé participe de esta historia con una pizca de drama, que muestra cómo el compartir las tradiciones puede acortar la distancia entre generaciones.
Much to her embarrassment, a girl is picked up after school by her father in his dusty truck. Undeterred by his daughter’s dismissive demeanour, he decides to take her on a detour: fishing in the Arabian Gulf. Though she is initially disgusted by the prawn bait and just wants to go home, the girl ultimately gains insight into her father’s ways by spending this brief time with him. Ride along with this slice-of-life drama, which shows us how patience and sharing traditions can bridge the gap between generations.
