Rosario lleva media vida cuidando a su familia, justo el tiempo que lleva su familia dejándose cuidar. Y en nochebuena, con los extras propios de esas fechas y la llegada de Alicia, el trabajo se multiplica. Encima, este año no está la abuela. Ella se fue hace despertando más desahogo que congoja. Lo único que queda de ella es el recuerdo, un vacío que nadie llena en la mesa del comedor y un ticket de la tintorería, donde espera un abrigo lavado en seco que esconde algunas monedas y un temporal.

Rosario has spent half her life taking care of her family. And her family has allowed her to take care of them for the same exact time. On Christmas eve, with all the usual errands to run at this time of the year, and the arrival of Alicia, work around the house multiplies. This year, not even grandma is around to help. But she has passed away causing more relief than grief. All that’s left of her are the memories, the empty chair at the dining room table, and a receipt from the dry cleaning store, where her coat still hides in its pockets a few coins, and turmoil.

JORGE NARANJO

Jorge Naranjo, nacido en Sevilla en 1976, es guionista y director. Sus cortos, de ficción o documental, han sido galardonados en festivales nacionales e internacionales. Su último cortometraje, Un billete a nunca jamás fue premiado por la fundación SGAE en el Festival de Cine Europeo de Sevilla y también en Valencia.

Jorge Naranjo was born in Seville in 1976. He is writer and director. His shorts, fiction or documentary, have been honored at national and international festivals. His last short film, A ticket to nevermore, received an award from the SGAE foundation during the European Film Festival of Seville and another one in Valencia.
