SINOPSIS
Esta es la historia de Hasin Saad, un joven iraquí de 15 años asentado junto con su familia en la ciudad de San Antonio ─un puerto localizado en la V región de Chile. Hasin descubre en el atletismo un espacio para su integración social y superación personal. A través del propio relato de nuestro protagonista, conocemos a los otros integrantes de esta familia árabe; sus testimonios de la guerra; sus padeceres; alegrías y, principalmente, el coraje para afrontar la venida a un nuevo y extraño país. Es un relato esperanzador que resulta motivante para quienes se reinventan y renacen como el ave fénix.

This is the story of Hasin Saad, a Young Iraqi kid of 15 years of age who has settled along with his family in the city of San Antonio ─a port located in the V region of Chile. Hasin discovers in track a means to his social inclusion and self-improvement. Through his own retelling, we get to know the rest of the members of this Arab family and their war testimonies, their sufferings, their joys and, mainly, the courage which with they face the coming to a new and foreign land. It is an inspiring tale that is motivating for those who reinvent themselves and are reborn from their ashes like the phoenix.

BIOGRAFÍA
Andrés es un director y productor ejecutivo chileno. Estudió comunicación audiovisual en el Instituto de Arte y Comunicación en Chile y se diplomó en Producción Ejecutiva en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión en 2011 en Cuba. Además, tiene estudios universitarios de Filosofía. En 2006, funda la Productora Independiente Dinamo Audiovisual. Ha dirigido y producido 10 Documentales hasta la fecha y ha recibido premios junto a la productora Dinamo Audiovisual, entre los que cabe destacar el de Mejor Documental en el Festival de Cine Emergente de Chile por Hasin, el Niño Iraquí.

Andrés is a Director and executive producer from Chile. He majored in audiovisual communication at the Instituto de Arte y Comunicación in Chile and in Executive Management at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in Cuba in 2011. In addition, he took some philosophy courses at University. In 2006 he founded the independent production company Dinamo Audiovisual. So far, he has directed and produced ten documentaries and has been awarded through his work at Dinamo Audiovisual; being among those awards the Best Documentary at the Festival de Cine Emergente in Chile for Hasin, the Iraqi Kid.
