SINOPSIS
Basada en hechos reales, Free Range es la historia de una vaca que cruza la frontera de Israel hacia el Líbano y se encuentra con una Malakeh de dieciséis años y su familia. Un western libanés que habla de fronteras y poder entre pueblos, religiones, vacas e intervenciones de la ONU.
Based on actual events, Free Range is the story of a cow that crosses the border from Israel to Lebanon and meets with 16 year old Malakeh and her family. A Lebanese Spaghetti-Western that talks about borders and power between people, religions, cows and UN interventions.

BIOGRAFÍA

Nacido en 1978, Bass comenzó su carrera como actor de teatro en el Líbano antes de mudarse al Reino Unido. Realizó un exitoso cortometraje en 2007 y escribió su primera película en 2008, que fue admitida en festivales de Dubai y Francia. Desde 2009 hasta 2011, Bass trabajó en la novela web ganadora del Emmy Shankaboot como jefe guionista y productor de contenidos online. También trabajó como guionista en la premiada serie web Fasateen. Ganó el premio al mejor film otorgado por la fundación Robert Bosch en 2013 por su nuevo corto Free Range y también dirigió el corto libio-libanés Ziu. Actualmente reside en Belfast y está trabajando en su largometraje Thuraya and Her Mom. Born in 1978, Bass started his career as a theatre actor in Lebanon before moving to the UK.

He made a notorious short in 2007 and wrote his first script in 2008, which was accepted at the Dubai Film Connection and Montpellier Film Festival in France. From 2009 till 2011 Bass worked on the Emmy Award-winning web-drama Shankaboot as the Lead Writer and Online Content Producer. Bass also worked as a scriptwriter on the award-winning web-series Fasateen. In 2013 he won the Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung on his new short film Free Range and he also directed a Libyan-Lebanese short film Ziu. Currently Bass is based in Belfast and he’s working on his feature film Thuraya and Her Mom.
