SINOPSIS
En Tetuán, una ciudad portuaria marroquí permanentemente bajo un cielo bajo y pesado; tres amigos, ladrones de poca monta, deciden robar la joyería más grande de la ciudad para escapar de un futuro deseperanzador. Malik se involucra en el atraco para rescatar a Dunia, una prostituta de la que está enamorado, y crear una nueva vida para ellos; Allal necesita dinero en efectivo para poder meterse en el tráfico local de drogas y dejar de ser carterista; y Soufiane, el más joven de los tres, tiene sus propias razones para querer robar al dueño de la tienda de joyería cristiana. Pero cuando el plan se desmorona, los tres amigos deben enfrentarse a sus propios destinos individuales, solos.

Three friends, small time crooks, decide to rob the town’s biggest jewelry store to escape from a hopeless future in Tetouan. Malik is madly in love with Dounia, a prostitute, and is in on the heist to rescue her and create a new life for them; Allal is the tough guy who can’t understand how Malik has fallen for a whore and needs cash so he can be a player in the local drug trade and move up from snatching purses; and Soufiane, the youngest of the three, has his own reasons for wanting to rob the Christian jewelry storeowner. But when the plan falls apart, the three friends must face their own, separate destinies, alone.

BIOGRAFÍA
Faouzi Bensaïdi es uno de los mejores representantes de la nueva generación del cine marroquí. Actor, director y guionista, Faouzi desarrolla un cine influenciado a la vez por sus raíces marroquíes y por su país de adopción, Francia. Estudió en el Instituto de Arte Dramático de Rabat y en el Conservatorio Nacional de Arte Dramático de París. Comienza a dirigir cortometrajes a partir de 1997 y rueda su primer largo, Mille Mois, en 2003. Con WWW (What a Wonderful World), el cineasta se aleja del cine de género. En 2013, Bensaï didirige Death for Sale, la historia de tres amigos que deciden convertirse en capos de la droga.

Faouzi Bensaïdi is one of the best representatives of the new generation of Moroccan cinema. Faouzi; an actor, director and script writer, is a filmmaker who is influenced both by his Moroccan roots and by his fostering country, France. He studied at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art in Rabat and at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Paris. He started directing short films in 1997 and shots his first feature, Mille Mois, in 2003. With WWW (What a Wonderful World), the director steps away from genre film. In 2013 he directed Death for Sale, the story of friends who decide to become drug lords.
