SINOPSIS
Un niño y su silla son inseparables en este pausado drama marroquí situado en una aldea pobre en las montañas del Atlas durante el mes de Ramadán. El año es 1981 y Mehdi (Fouad Labied), de ocho años, se está preparando para su primer ayuno. Pero con su padre en la cárcel, un amigo en el depósito de cadáveres, y la silla de un profesor para custodiar es difícil mantener la mente en asuntos sagrados. Lento hasta el punto de inercia y lleno de sub-tramas oscuras, A Thosand Months(Mil Meses), sin embargo, ofrece una valiosa y convincente visión sobre estilo de vida que está pereciendo.

A young boy and his chair prove inseparable in this leisurely Moroccan drama set in a poor village in the Atlas Mountains during the month of Ramadan. The year is 1981 and eight-year-old Mehdi (Fouad Labied) is preparing for his first fast. But with a dad in jail, a friend in the morgue, and a teacher's chair to guard it's hard to keep his mind on holy matters. Slow to the point of inertia and full of obscure subplots, A Thousand Months nonetheless offers a valuable and compelling insight into a dying way of life.

BIOGRAFÍA
Faouzi Bensaïdi es uno de los mejores representantes de la nueva generación del cine marroquí. Actor, director y guionista, Faouzi desarrolla un cine influenciado a la vez por sus raíces marroquíes y por su país de adopción, Francia. Estudió en el Instituto de Arte Dramático de Rabat y en el Conservatorio Nacional de Arte Dramático de París. Comienza a dirigir cortometrajes a partir de 1997 y rueda su primer largo, Mille Mois, en 2003. Con WWW (What a Wonderful World), el cineasta se aleja del cine de género. En 2013, Bensaï didirige Death for Sale, la historia de tres amigos que deciden convertirse en capos de la droga.

Faouzi Bensaïdi is one of the best representatives of the new generation of Moroccan cinema. Faouzi; an actor, director and script writer, is a filmmaker who is influenced both by his Moroccan roots and by his fostering country, France. He studied at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Art in Rabat and at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Paris. He started directing short films in 1997 and shots his first feature, Mille Mois, in 2003. With WWW (What a Wonderful World), the director steps away from genre film. In 2013 he directed Death for Sale, the story of friends who decide to become drug lords.
