STRAY BULLET

Fin del verano de 1976 en un suburbio al norte de Beirut. Noha se va a casar. Su familia se alivia porque está tomando su última oportunidad antes de convertirse en una solterona como su hermana mayor. Todo parece estar mejorando. Sin embargo, en ese domingo, quince días antes de la boda, Noha cambia de opinión.

End of summer 1976, Northern suburb of Beirut. Noha is getting married. Her family is relieved for she’s taking her last
chance before she becomes an old maid like her elder sister. Everything is going for the best. Still, on that Sunday, fifteen days before the wedding, Noha changes her mind. collapse of a bridge, or an empire.

Georges Hachem se graduó de la Escuela Nacional Louis Lumière, en Paris, y previamente estudió teatro en la Universidad Libanesa. En su currículum figuran diversos cortos creados y dirigidos en el marco de talleres de actuación que ha liderado desde 1992 en Paris y Beirut. Desde su regreso a Beirut en 2006, se encuentra a cargo del departamento audiovisual de la Universidad de Antonine. Además es un aficionado de la promoción de los trabajos de dramaturgos libaneses. Actualmente dirige su última obra basada en L’Une et l’autre en Octobre de Théresè Aouad Basbous. En 2009 escribió y dirigió un corto de 20 minutos, "Evening Mass", seguido de su primer largometraje, "Stray Bullet".

Georges Hachem graduated from the National School Louis Lumière, in Paris, and previously studied drama at the Lebanese University. His portfolio features several short films created and directed in the framework of acting work¬shops that he has coached since 1992 in Paris and Beirut. Returned to Beirut in 2006, he is currently in charge of the audiovisual department in the Anto¬nine University. He is also keen on promoting the works of Lebanese playwriters, thus directing his latest play based on L’Une et l’autre en Octobre by Thérèse Aouad Basbous. In 2009, he has written and directed a 20 minutes short film, "Evening Mass", followed by his first feature film, "Stray Bullet" .
